MABUHAY! This Montessori inspired Beginner Tagalog Class for preschoolers is designed specifically for children aged 3 to 7 years. This class is an introduction to the Tagalog language, tailored to young learners in a Montessori prepared environment. The curriculum focuses on basic vocabulary, including numbers, alphabets, and colors, while also introducing students to the rich culture and landmarks of the Philippines.

• Class Aims:
To introduce young learners to the basics of the Tagalog language.
To develop an understanding and recognition of Tagalog numbers, alphabets, and colors.

Children who wants to learn new language.
Children with no experience in Tagalog language.

Beginner Tagalog Curriculum:

Week 1:  Introduction to Tagalog: Basic greetings and common phrases. (kamusta?)
Week 2: Numbers: Counting 1 to 10 in Tagalog. Fun activities with arts and crafts.
Week 3: Colors: Learning the names of basic colors in Tagalog with creative arts.
Week 4: Alphabets: Introduction to the Tagalog alphabet (Abakada). 
Week 5: Philippine Landmarks and Culture: Virtual tour featuring famous landmarks 
like Mayon Volcano, Chocolate Hills, and the Banaue Rice Terraces.
Week 6: Filipino festivals, traditional clothing, and costumes.
Week 7: Philippine Foods: Famous and traditional Filipino foods like Pancit, lumpia and Adobo
Week 8: Review of all Tagalog vocabulary words

• Teaching Approach:
I use Montessori method, emphasizing hands-on learning, sensory experiences, and self-directed activity. Each child is presented with real world "photos" to best represent the rich culture and traditions of Philippines. 

• Materials:
We will use three part cards for vocabulary enrichments with "Real Photos".
Printed materials.

Assessment:
Progress will be observed through participation in activities and informal assessments. Feedback will be provided to parents regularly to ensure each child's development and understanding of the Tagalog language.
