In this class, we will learn about a few elements of art as they apply to clothing through a powerpoint. We will talk about emphasis, repetition, and color. We will look at examples of different t-shirt design and ask learners to discuss what they like or dislike. 

Students will then take time to design their own t-shirt, using the pdf I have provided which has a shirt outline. They are free to use any art supplies available to them including pencil, marker, paint, paper, or fabric. Students can then share their design with other learners if they desire.

We will then watch some video clips of techniques accessible to learners who want to create a t-shirt using their design. Specifically, we will go over applique, embroidery and iron on transfer. The goal is to empower the students to be able to produce their design on a t-shirt in real life if they would like.
