In this class students will be introduced to the snare drum/drum pad and learn a number of skills including but not limited to: -Music Literacy -Call and Response Rhythmic Ideas -Technique -Quarter, Half, Whole, and Eighth Notes -Flams -Buzzes -Sight Reading -Quarter, Half, Whole Rests Each class will Start with a warm up sequence reviewing technique, the information covered in the previous lesson (lessons 2-5). Students will then engage in lesson material involving a new skill building off prior knowledge. Finally, students will engage in a lesson themed game at the end of class reinforcing material taught that day. Class will be taught be demonstrating the material presented to the students using visual and auditory cues. Students will then have opportunities to try the lesson material and practice it before being informally assessed by the instructor. Class will be taught with a hands on approach, giving students constant constructive feedback. Learners will have numerous opportunities to interact with other classmates through discussion, collaboration, games, questions, and annotation.

Snare Drum Technique, Basic Music Reading, Rudiments, and Simon Says
In this introductory lesson students learn about the different parts of their drum/drum pad, proper posture, how to hold the sticks, the three most important hand patterns a drummer needs to know, and basic music literacy. Students will be given a plethora of examples to practice, regular feedback on their technique, and opportunities to create their own drum patterns/beats. 30 분 온라인 라이브 레슨

Rests, 8th Notes, Lesson 1 Review, and Sight Reading
In our second lesson, students will start by reviewing all the previous information learned in the first lesson. After, students will be introduced to quarter, half, and whole rests and apply them in a musical setting. Students will also be introduced to 8th notes and given examples to practice. Finally students will sight reading simple etudes involving quarter, half and whole notes learned in the previous lesson. 30 분 온라인 라이브 레슨

Stick Control, Simon Says, The Buzz Stroke Roll, and Lesson 2 Review
In our third lesson, students will start by reviewing all the previous information learned in the second lesson. After, students will be introduced to Stick Control and play the first few examples. Students will then be introduced to the buzz stroke roll, experimenting with various objects around them that they can or cannot "buzz" on. Students will then be introduced to the buzz notation on sheet music and practice several etudes. Finally students will play Simon Says at the end of class. 30 분 온라인 라이브 레슨

Flams, Stick Control, Rhythmic Dictation, Lesson 3 Review
In our fourth lesson, students will start by reviewing all the previous information learned in the third lesson. Students will play through additional examples of Stick Control, work on Sight Reading and play additional buzz etudes started in lesson three. Finally, students will be introduced to the "flam" rudiment and practice various etudes involving flams. At the conclusion of the lesson, students will practice Rhythmic Dictation 30 분 온라인 라이브 레슨

This class uses the following accommodations for learners with unique learning needs: Visual aids(large notation and learning handouts), flexible pacing(examples for extra practice) as well as auditory, visual, and kinesthetic methods.

Students will need the following materials: -A pair of drumsticks (Vic Firth 5A is recommended) -A Snare drum of any kind OR a drum pad (Evans Real Feel is recommended)
