In this 4 week course, we will cover the following:
Week 1 - parts of the cello and bow, how to sit properly with the cello, how to hold the bow & how to pluck and bow. Names of strings will be covered through a fun poem.
Week 2 - Bow hold game, rhythms on open strings & review of Week 1
Week 3 - Notes for Hot Cross Buns, plucking & bowing
Week 4 - Playing Hot Cross Buns on all strings plus review of weeks 1-3 and time for solo performances.

The course schedule may be adjusted depending on the makeup of the class. All learners need to have an appropriate size cello and bow to participate. Ideally learners will have a chair to sit on that will have them able to plant feet firmly on the floor for good posture.
