수업 소개
Students will learn an introduction to piano playing, the layout of the keyboard, how to position hands and learn finger exercises, correct posture when playing piano, play chords (major and minor), and learn about reading music. Students will learn short passages from workbooks (I will provide these resources). As the student progresses throughout taking lessons, they will work their way up through the workbooks, and learn as many songs as possible. Lessons will be very interactive, and hands on. No prior experience is required!

Students need a piano or keyboard to take lessons. During the lesson, please have the students hands visible, as that is very important when first learning piano!

Hi everyone! My name is Tayler Kochan, and I am so excited to meet you all in class! Teaching is a large passion of mine! I currently teach PreK-6th grade General Music in New York State, and teach private voice, vocal coaching, piano, and guitar lessons as well. I also perform frequently throughout my community!
I attended Nazareth College in Rochester NY for my bachelors degree in Music Education and Musical Theater, and my masters degree in Music Education, with a certificate in autism. Throughout my career, I have taught students from K-12th grade.
I love teaching people, and helping others develop new schools. I truly believe that music is meant for everyone! While being a music teacher and performer, I also love fitness and want to share my passion of that with all of you! I'm excited to teach you or your child soon. See you in the classroom!
