In this 4 week course, students will continue learning to play the piano in a fun and encouraging setting. We will be using the Alfred Prep Course for the Young Beginner - Level A, and will expect to cover the second half of the book, although pacing of the class may be adjusted as necessary. Students should have completed the "Beginner Piano Class for Ages 5-8" OR have a good working knowledge of playing in middle C position and C position using note values and letter names. Week...
Students will learn to play with correct technique, learn to read music on the staff, and learn to play several simple songs.
Students will need a piano or an electronic keyboard. Students who have completed "Beginner Piano Class" should already have the book. New students will need to purchase the lesson book for this course. "Alfred's Prep Course - Level A" can be purchased from a music store, alfred.com, or Amazon. It is available in print or digital format.
