Hello, I am Ms Alla, a native Russian speaker and offer your child a Russian language class for beginners. This is a 8-session class where students meet new friends and practice basic sentences. All sessions will be recorded and posted with materials provided. You will have homework to practice some vocabulary. At the end of this 8-week course you can expect to be able to do the following: Week 1- -Greet people and make small talk -Create simple questions such as How are you? What is your name? Moscow, capital of Russia Week 2 - -Learn colors -Watch a Russian cartoon and learn more about Russian culture Week 3 -Use common verbs in the present tense Pear Deck review Week 4 -Discuss food and meals -Create simple questions about food and drinks Week 5 -Talk about family members Kahoot Week 6 -Count up to 20 PearDeck review Week 7 -Discuss and use colors in conversation Yuri Gagarin, Russian spaceman Kahoot Week 8 -Cooking time (vinegret) Create a short story about yourself and family The students will be provided instruction by me with multiple repetition of new vocabulary words. It will be one-on-one conversations as well as practice with a partner. We will watch a few cartoons together and students will try to translate dialogues. I have Google Slides and will ask students to spend 5 minutes every day to practice the pronunciation of new words. As a native speaker, I will be able to correct all mistakes explaining the fluency of Russian speech. I talk about geography, architecture and climate of Russia during my lessons explaining the culture of this beautiful country. I have been teaching in Russia and USA and can compare and contrast both educational systems. I use Kahoots and Pear desk software to practice the grammar and vocabulary and checking for understanding. #academic
