수업 소개
In this course, we will read "Because of Winn-Dixie" by Kate DiCamillo. My teaching style for this class will be laid back and have the students lead discussion. Students will take turns reading the chapters aloud during class. Students may volunteer to read or we will do popcorn reading based upon consensus at the beginning of the lesson. We will then discuss questions about what we read during class together. The teacher will ask comprehension and extension questions during the reading to ensure each student is following along and understanding the book. Students will be given a packet of questions to complete in class after reading each day. They will be given a few minutes to look at and respond to the questions independently after we finish reading. We will then discuss the questions and answers together in depth. Some students may have different answers for critical thinking questions and will get the chance to explain and defend their answers. This will encourage the students to give their opinions and practice polite debate. Students are expected to participate in class by reading and answering questions. Students will need to use the "raise hand" feature to respond to questions or volunteer to read. Day 1 Read Chapters 1-4 & discuss packet questions Day 2 Read Chapters 5-8 & discuss packet questions Day 3 Read Chapters 9-11 & discuss packet questions Day 4 Read Chapters 12-15 & discuss packet questions Day 5 Read Chapters 16-19 & discuss packet questions. Day 6 Read Chapters 20-22 & discuss packet questions. Day 7 Read Chapters 23-26 & discuss packet questions.
