We will explore the beauty of watercolor and create a gentle, sunny beach scene. Students will learn to create soft and hard edges to create this dynamic painting. We will discuss what colors to begin a watercolor with, and how to achieve translucence. We will have some basic colors to use and mixing colors will be encouraged. Supply List 8 inch by 10 inch watercolor paper, bowl or water, paper towels, number 12 round brush that comes to a point, palette paper (or a watercolor tray or foam plate), Watercolor paint tubes or trays. A set is easy to find a craft stores. We will use white, yellow, orange, alizarin crimson(red), purple, blue, green, brown and black.
