Welcome to our "Bartholomew and the Oobleck" Adventure with Slime Making! What will be taught? Children will delve into the classic tale of "Bartholomew and the Oobleck" and explore the science behind oobleck. The hands-on slime-making activity will introduce them to basic chemistry concepts while fostering creativity. How is your class structured? The class begins with an animated reading of the story, capturing the essence of Bartholomew's adventure. Following this, we transition into a structured slime-making session, where children actively participate in creating their own oobleck-inspired slime. How will you teach? Our teaching approach combines storytelling with experiential learning. Children will witness the transformation of a literary concept into a tangible, slime-filled experience. The emphasis is on curiosity, exploration, and understanding the science behind the fun. What's your teaching style? We adopt a dynamic and engaging teaching style, encouraging hands-on exploration. The class is designed to be interactive, allowing children to actively contribute to the slime-making process. We aim to make learning both educational and entertaining. I have a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education P-5 and Special Education P-12. I have my Masters Degree in Teacher Leadership and I am working on my doctorate in Online Education and Curriculum Development. I have over 8 years of teaching experience. I have taught high school special education, and elementary education and I have had the opportunity to travel all over the world each day (through the help of online teaching platforms) to teach students how to speak English. Currently, I am an online private school educator and teach here on the side.
