발레 워크숍-중급 2부

CLASS STRUCTURE:
In this 4 week-long dance course we will work more extensively and more in-depth in our ballet technique. We will start by focusing on detail, strength and coordination through ballet exercises using the barre (you can use a wall/ chair/ any piece of furniture around waist-height, accessible in your home). We will work on musicality, lower leg and core strength, clarity and an overall understanding of the dance discipline through the ballet lens. After we explore multiple exercises we will move away from the barre and go through a few center exercises. In the end there will be some time for discussion and answering any questions that might have come up during the class. Each week we will progressively be adding complexity and working on concepts discussed in the previous classes. In addition, a sense of a virtual community will be created where the learners will be encouraged to ask questions and share their own ideas and artistic input on suggested topics. After the class ends, I will suggest that the learners take some time to cool down the body and stretch in order to prevent future injuries (I can provide them with exercises to do on their own upon request).

THE MATERIAL AND CHOREOGRAPHY TAUGHT IN THIS WORKSHOP IS DIFFERENT EVERY TIME IT IS OFFERED, SO THE SAME STUDENTS CAN TAKE IT MULTIPLE TIMES.

EXPERIENCE:
This class is for students who have already taken the Ballet Workshop-Intermediate Part 1 class I offer. They should already be familiar with exercises such as Pliés, Tendus, Dégagés,Rond de jambe a terre, Grand battement and other basic ballet terminology. I also offer Advanced level ballet classes so this class is designed for students who aren't quite ready to jump into that level but have also taken the Intermediate workshop already and are looking to progress their ballet technique further. If you are not sure if this class is right for your level or age do not hesitate to reach out and I will make sure we find the best fit that will serve your learner's individual needs.

-These classes are for ALL and ANY bodies interested in investigating movement. If your learner has a disability feel free to contact me in advance and we can discuss ways we can make them accessible to them.
-Language: English doesn't have to be your first language to take any of these classes nor do you need to be proficient in it (In fact it's not my first language either!). Just make sure you let me know in advance so that I find other creative ways to communicate with your learner as they are taking the class.
