During this class we will explore Ballet and Tap Dance Techniques. Ballet is a graceful and poised form of dance that is the foundation for all other dance techniques. It is a formal dance that mixes technique, coordination and musicality. Tap dance is a form of dance that creates various rhythms and shading of sounds by using the toe and heel tap of the shoe. Your child will learn beginner ballet dance steps in a creative learning environment. By week 3, they will also learn choreography to a short ballet dance which will teach them various patterns. Dancing to music will also teach the student how to develop musicality. And most of all, learn to have fun and enjoy movement!
