DAY 1:
Ingredients:
- flour
- baking powder
- baking soda
- salt
- spices (ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, allspice, cardamom - it's okay if you only have 4 or 5 of the spices)
- unsalted butter (1 stick)
- shortening
- sugar
- brown sugar
- egg (1)
- molasses
- honey
- vanilla extract

Kitchen Equipment:
- stand or handheld electric mixer
- wax paper or parchment paper
- large mixing bowl
- measuring cups
- measuring spoons
- rubber spatula
- baking sheet
- rolling pin


DAY 2:
Ingredients:
- meringue powder
- confectioners sugar
- vanilla extract
- water

Kitchen Equipment:
- stand or handheld electric mixer
- baking sheets 
- parchment paper
- rolling pin
- cookie cutters
- wire cooling racks
- measuring cups
- measuring spoons
- rubber spatula


DAY 3:
Ingredients:
- water
- food coloring
- sprinkles (optional, any color or type)

Kitchen Equipment:
- baking sheets or wire cooling racks
- rubber spatula
- small spoons (3)
- small bowls (3)
- piping bags (preferred) or plastic snack bag (Ziploc or other)
- scissors
- toothpicks or cookie scribe
- paper towels

In this class, students will be using various equipment in the kitchen. It will include use of an electric mixer and oven. 

The recipe that we will use include many allergens (wheat, dairy, eggs). Wheat allergies can be accommodated for.
