In this three-day writing camp, students will write a multiparagraph paper in each class. Students will be given a back-to-school topic in each class. They will brainstorm ideas onto a graphic organizer and will write a multiparagraph paper. Each class follows the same structure. Below is a breakdown of the structure. 

***** INTRODUCTION *****
Students will be given the writing topic. Students will write on a back-to-school topic. 

***** BRAINSTORM *****
Students will fill out a graphic organizer with their ideas. I will model how to fill out the graphic organizer. Then, students will fill out their graphic organizer with their ideas. 

***** WRITE A MULTIPARAGRAPH PAPER *****
I will model how to use the graphic organizer to write a multiparagraph paper. Students will use their organizer to write a multiparagraph paper. As students are writing, I will check in with each student. I will listen to their ideas and assist with writing, if needed. 

***** SHARE *****
Students will share their writing with the group. 

***** TOPICS *****
Students will write on a different back-to-school writing topic in each class.
