수업 소개
• This is an Ongoing Class and a student may join and drop-in any week of the class. Students will learn everything about ONE celestial object/topic each week. In this class students will improve their understanding about Space -Big Bang, Black Holes, Exoplanets, Life cycle of stars, Galaxies, Constellations, Dark Mater, Dark Energy, Space Telescopes, Space Flights, Aliens, Satellites, Dwarf planets, Kuiper Belt, Oort Cloud, Asteroids, Comets etc. • I have several sections of this class open during the week. The same topic is discussed in all the sections of the week. If there is a schedule conflict anytime in a week, please let me know and I will be happy to transfer you to another section of this class for a different day and/or time. Thanks.:) The class link is shared below: https://outschool.com/classes/astronomy-and-space-stem-explore-the-universe-beyond-our-solar-system-ongoing-EaGyzQgd • Since I share videos in class that require permission and subscription, I am able to play them in class but not able to share them online. For this reason I do not share the class recording but always willing to make a transfer to another section of the week if there is an open section. Thanks.:) • According to the Big Bang theory, the universe started up around 13.8 billion years ago. Back then, all the stuff in the universe was packed together in one dense point called a singularity. No one is really sure why this singularity exploded. That cosmic explosion is what we call the “Big Bang.” It was real hot at first, about 10,000 million, million, million degrees. After things cooled down a bit, the first stars and galaxies began to form. • First 2 minutes will be an introduction of the teacher and students and a discussion on the topic for the day. Next 40 minutes will be teacher sharing a Google Slide presentation, reinforcing the concepts learned in the class with examples and watching short video clips on the topic discussed for the class. These video clips will be from credible educational sources with graphics and animations. Students are welcome to discuss and ask questions to make the class interactive. Students may note down some points as we are watching and discussing it. They may use graphics/flowcharts/concept maps for these concepts as well. Last 3 minutes a student will share his/her learning with the class and may ask relevant and essential questions. Student are also welcome to share a graphic/poster/drawing on the topic discussed in class and can add their own flair of creativity.:) Class Schedule:- Nov 4 to Nov 10- Dark Universe: Dark Matter and Dark Energy Nov 11 to Nov 17- Space Flights, Space crafts, Space Shuttles, Aliens Nov 18 to Nov 24- Major Space telescopes and Observatories Nov 25 to Dec 1- Major Satellites in space and International Space Station Dec 2 to Dec 8- Kuiper belt, Oort Cloud, Comets, Planet X, Interstellar Space Dec 9 to Dec 15- Dwarf planets- Haumea, MakeMake, Eris and Pluto Dec 16 to Dec 22- Asteroids and Dwarf planet Ceres Dec 23 to Dec 29- Exoplanets Dec 30 to Jan 5- Big Bang Jan 6 to Jan 12- Life Cycle of Stars Jan 13 to Jan 19- Galaxies and the Milky Way galaxy Jan 20 to Jan 26- Constellations Jan 27 to Feb 2- Black Holes Feb 3 to Feb 9- Dark Universe:Dark Matter and Dark Energy Feb 10 to Feb 16- Space Flights, Space crafts, Space Shuttles, Aliens Feb 17 to Feb 23- Major Space telescopes and Observatories Feb 24 to Mar 2- Major Satellites in space and International Space Station Mar 3 to Mar 9- Kuiper belt, Oort Cloud, Comets, Planet X, Interstellar Space Mar 10 to Mar 16- Dwarf planets- Haumea, MakeMake, Eris and Pluto Mar 17 to Mar 23- Asteroids and dwarf planet Ceres Mar 24 to Mar 30- Big Bang March 31 to April 6- Life Cycle of Stars April 7 to April 13- Galaxies and the Milky Way galaxy April 14 to April 20- Constellations April 21 to April 27- Black Holes April 28 to May 4- Dark Universe:Dark Matter and Dark Energy May 5 to May 11- Space Flights, Space crafts, Space Shuttles, Aliens May 12 to May 18- Major Space telescopes and Observatories May 19 to May 25- Major Satellites in space and International Space Station May 26 to June 1- Kuiper belt, Oort Cloud, Comets, Planet X, Interstellar Space June 2 to June 8- Dwarf planets- Haumea, MakeMake, Eris and Pluto June 9 to June 16- Asteroids and dwarf planet Ceres Guiding Questions: 1.
