Students will learn American Sign Language vocabulary as they learn about the United States' national park, The Blue Ridge Parkway. Discover this unique park, its history of development, it's cool features, natural resources, and all the fun activities you can do there. Students need no prior experience or knowledge. I'll show and explain hand signs and repeat for greater retention. ASL improves retention of knowledge as it incorporates visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning. Class length is 24 mins. It is my joy to share ASL as a second language and to help bridge the gap between hearing and Deaf communities. Come sign with me!

I have taught Little Signers ASL to preschool and elementary students over the past 10 years. I have a Masters in Education: Curriculum & Instruction with certifications in K-6th, biology, and earth science. I have a Bachelors of Science in Biology with an Environmental Studies minor. I am a former public school teacher of 5 yrs and homeschool teacher of 10 yrs. I completed ASL I, II, III, & V in college and interpret for a Deaf family in church. I am also a 200 hr certified Yoga Teacher with additional certifications in Kids Yoga, Mommy Me Yoga, and Prenatal Yoga. I also teach ASL in my Kids Yoga, Baby Toddler Me Yoga, and Baby Connections classes. In addition to teaching on Outschool, I teach a weekly live online Little Signers class.
