Welcome to the Advanced ASL Club, an engaging, educational, and inspiring space designed specifically for intermediate or advanced signers! This school-year long course is perfect for students who are confident in their signing skills and are ready to dive deeper into the world of American Sign Language and Deaf Culture. Each month, students will receive a unique and exciting assignment related to ASL, Deaf History, or creative expression in sign. These projects will be shared and discussed during our live, interactive club meetings, fostering both language development and community connection. In addition to presentations, many classes will include games, bonus ASL activities, and fun challenges to keep the experience dynamic and enriching. All materials will be provided as downloadable PDFs or video links. Students are responsible for printing and completing their assignments independently each month. Please check the class material list for a detail description of what the students will need. We will meet on the first Tuesday of every month. Monthly Topics: August 5th – Introductions and Course Overview September 2nd – Expressive Signing: Poems, Folklore & Stories in ASL October 7th – ASL History: Watch and Discuss November 4th – Create a Short Film Using Only ASL December 2nd – ASL Kahoot! Challenge and Games January 6th – ASL Hand Art Project (a fan favorite!) February 3rd – Sign a Song March 3rd – ASL Humor: Jokes and Laughs April 7th – Trivia Day and ASL Bingo May 5th – Project Wrap-Up, Presentations, Final Games, and Celebration This club offers a supportive, creative, and immersive environment where students can grow their ASL fluency while connecting with others who share their passion. Course Expectations:
– Students must keep their cameras on during each live session (microphones are optional).
– Students are expected to complete and present their assignments and actively participate.
- Students will be directed to specific YouTube links, these are clean and age appropriate videos about Deaf History or ASL related.

Students should know basic ASL, including grammar, Classifiers, and the 5 Parameters. Recommended courses before joining ASL Club: ASL for Beginners Part 1-3 (or more).
