We will explore 6 fun and simple painting techniques for kids. We will be focusing on the painting process rather than the outcome and hopefully, there will be lots of opportunities for students to express themselves and spark their creativity. This challenge is all about kids experimenting, making their own decisions, and having fun with paint. Week 1 - Watercolor flowers (We will apply wet watercolor paint on wet paper, A.K.A. Wet-On-Wet technique) Week 2 - Dazzling Rainbow (Pointillism...
Students will improve their understanding of different painting techniques such as pointillism, stamping, and others. During the course, they will create a masterpiece using a variety of artist's tools.
*Please, try not to use print/copy paper. Sometimes children get frustrated and disappointed as it absorbs the water and gets wet and floppy* Week 1 - Watercolor paper, watercolor paints, paintbrush, water cup, pencil, black crayon. Week 2 - Watercolor paper, 7 Q-tips (cotton swabs), watercolor paints (or other kids washable paints, tempera, acrylic), pencil, water cup. Week 3 - Watercolor paper, straw, watercolor paints (or other kids washable paints, tempera), black marker, water cup. Week 4 - Watercolor paper, sponge, scissors, tempera paints (other kids washable paints), paintbrush, water cup, plastic plate to mix the colors or pallet. Week 5 - Colored paper, potato or apple halves, paints (tempera or other washable paints), paintbrush, black marker, googly eyes (optional) Week 6 - Watercolor paper, watercolor paints, black gel pen, markers. For each day I recommend having a washcloth, scrap paper, or paper towels nearby, as we can get messy!
