In this engaging 16-week course, students dive deep into the fascinating world of artificial intelligence and machine learning using Code.org's proven curriculum. The class meets weekly for 55-minute live sessions that combine structured learning with hands-on coding practice. While we discuss artificial intelligence and its societal impacts, all content is age-appropriate and focuses on positive applications of technology. In Lesson 15, we will discuss ethical considerations in AI development, including examples of AI bias and fairness issues, which may lead to thoughtful discussions about technology's impact on society.
