This one time painting class will focus on the rich history, symbolism and uses of sunflowers. Today the sunflower is seen around the world as a symbol of solidarity, resilience and strength. We will explore the characteristics of sunflowers, where sunflowers grow, the varieties of sunflowers and sunflowers in art history. Stephanie is a k-12 certified art educator and arts in healthcare profession who has been teaching children and working with dementia care residents for over 20 years. Creating fun, engaging art experiences that are age appropriate and confidence building is her specialty, she'll use these skills to make art the most exciting and fun class of the week!
