*This is the crayon drawing version of this class. Monet's famous painting The Yellow Irises meets Seahorses in this one-time class! We will be discussing Monet, Seahorses, and draw a wonderful mash-up of art and science like the one in the class picture! We will view slides and discuss a short biography about the artist Claude Monet. Where did Monet live? Why did he paint? Then, We will view slides and talk about all things seahorses. Where do seahorses live? What do they eat? Do they do anything strange? Let's find out! The drawing portion will be directed by the teacher with step-by-step directions. There will be four steps to our drawing and (much like how Monet completed drawings in one sitting) it will be completed in this class. We will read a few pages from a "Who Was" biography book while working on the background. Please, find the list of supplies below.

I have my Associate’s degree in Animal Science, Associate’s degree in Elementary Education, and my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary and Middle Dual Education with a specialization in Science. I am a certified teacher, and I am currently a substitute teacher and an Outschool teacher. I strive to support all my students in learning and welcoming them to a safe space. I encourage creativity, pursuing interests, and a passion for lifelong learning. I enjoy reading, writing, and being outside. A hobby that has always helped me relax has been drawing or painting.
