수업 소개
Welcome to our Junk Journaling Studio Hour! This class is a creative haven for kids to explore their imagination and express themselves through the art of junk journaling. Unlike traditional classes, there are no strict instructions or step-by-step guides here. Instead, children are encouraged to bring a variety of materials—magazines, newspapers, old mail, ribbons, stickers, and any other odds and ends they find intriguing. With these supplies, they can craft unique and personal junk journals, filled with collages, drawings, and whatever their hearts desire. This free-form environment allows their creativity to flourish without boundaries. In addition to fostering artistic expression, our Junk Journaling Studio Hour is a great social experience. Kids can chat, share ideas, and inspire each other as they work on their projects. It’s a relaxed and supportive setting where participants can enjoy the process of creating something special while making new friends. Whether they are new to junk journaling or have a budding passion for it, every child will find joy in this fun and imaginative class. This class is learner-led and does not have specific/set weekly themes.

Class participants will likely use scissors from time to time in class. Proper safety guidance will be given.

The sky is the limit when it comes to junk journaling! Learners can bring magazines, newspapers, old mail, recycling items, washi tape, stickers…. you name it!
Learners can bring a blank notebook to class or a small piece of cardstock to begin their journaling process.

Dawn (she/her) is an energetic and nurturing educator will years of preschool classroom and homeschooling experience! With a rich tapestry of experiences spanning over two decades, Dawn brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to the classroom.
Dawn has been actively involved in her own children’s education. For seven fulfilling years she served as a devoted room mom before embarking on the adventure of homeschooling. As a homeschool mom for five years, she curated enriching educational experiences tailored to her children's individual learning styles, fostering a love for learning that continues to blossom.
In addition to her homeschooling endeavors, Dawn served as a co-op assistant teacher, collaborating with fellow educators and parents to create a vibrant learning community. Her collaborative spirit and dedication to fostering inclusive environments have left an indelible mark on the educational landscape.
Dawn is a passionate creative and outgoing individual. Junk journaling sessions will be a beautiful blend of freestyle creativity and social engagement.
