In this 8 lesson course we will create woven projects! I will be demonstrating the projects and techniques in a series of step-by-step videos. In this class we will make a wall hanging, wallet & vessel. No prior knowledge is needed. Most of the skill needed to complete this project is yarn wrapping & weaving. Week 1Lesson 1Woven Wall Hanging-Loom Set UpIn this lesson we will start our wall hanging. Students will create and set up their cardboard loom. Once the loom is set up students will weave their weft strings.Week 2Lesson 2Woven Wall Hanging- WeavingStudents will finish their weaving the weft strings. I will demonstrate how to remove from the loom.Week 3Lesson 3Woven Wallet- Loom Set UpUsing the techniques from the wall hanging we will expand and create a 3D functional item- a wallet. This week students will create their loom. Students will start weaving their pocket.Week 4Lesson 4Woven Wallet-Weaving PocketStudents will complete the pocket weaving.Week 5Lesson 5Woven Wallet- Weaving Top FlapStudents will weave the top flap.Week 6Lesson 6Woven Wallet- Loom Removal & FinishStudents will remove wallet from loom and attach button to complete wallet.Week 7Lesson 7Woven Vessel-Base StructureStudents will create a bowl or vase by cord wrapping & stitching. This week students will learn how to start the vessel and wrap the base.Week 8Lesson 8Woven Vessel-Weaving & FinishStudents will wrap their walls and complete the vessel.
