Through the guided drawing process, students will learn how to hold and use colored pencils for different shading techniques. My teaching style involves breaking the process down into smaller, easy-to-follow steps. I pace the class according to the needs of the students; if needed, I give fast finishers a break, allowing students who need more time to complete their work, the time to do so, and even then, finishing before class ends is NOT the objective. The examples in the picture are only suggestive; students may also request a particular favorite if time allows. My classes are intended to be fun, informative, and a safe place to take artistic risks and make mistakes--that is experimentation, which artists do all the time! At the end of class, students will be invited to share their creations no matter what their progress is. More detailed information regarding this class can be found in the syllabus. Completion of the weeks' individual drawings and research papers will be celebrated at the end of class!

Learning to Use Colored Pencils
Students will learn different grips for different techniques, pressures, and styles. We will practice color/value scales, burnishing, and layering color, and how to add dimension with complementary color shading techniques. 50 분 온라인 라이브 레슨

Students will need: Paper (quality drawing paper/sketchbook preferred) pencils, eraser, sharpener colored pencils - I highly recommend Prismacolor. This brand is used by professionals like myself and yields the best results. Colorless blender (This is a Prismacolor pencil!) ~optional Black Sharpie (optional)
