In this one-time course, students will learn about some of the most powerful and influential women in ancient Egyptian history: Hatshepsut, Sobekneferu, Tiye, Nefertiti, and Merneith. We will learn about the achievements and contributions of these Egyptian queens while examining their funerary monuments and how they were depicted in paintings, sculptures, and reliefs. This class is taught with large images in a slide show for learners to examine details of the architecture and artifacts...
