Writing for AP history exams, be it AP US history, AP European History, or AP World History, can be challenging and represents 60% of a student's exam score, so it can be quite intimidating, especially for first-time AP exam takers. But it does not have to be!

In this course, taught by an AP teacher with over a decade of classroom teaching experience in AP history and nine years as a grader of history essays at the AP reading, we will break down every part of the process, explaining what the readers are looking for, how students can write most effectively, and lots of little tips and tricks along the way to ensure that students can succeed on every part of the exam.

Because the rubrics for all the history exams are the same, this class is applicable to all AP history courses, and will provide examples from APUSH, AP World, and AP Euro in each lesson so students can tailor their learning and practice to their own needs and experiences.

Students will also have the opportunity to submit responses as optional homework for feedback from the instructor, so they can receive individual feedback.

This course will cover writing the SAQ, DBQ, and LEQ questions on the exams.
