1. Students will learn techniques for sketching a proportionate contour drawing (outline) of a Ring-Tailed Lemur. 2. Students will learn techniques for smooth blending, pencil application, gradient blending, and adding contrast. 3. Students will learn techniques for sketching realistic Ring-Tailed Lemur fur (striped pattern, fur texture, etc.). 4. Students will learn techniques for sketching realistic tree bark texture for the lemur to sit on. 5. Students will learn a few facts about lemurs.

If you do not have blending stumps, please bring a tissue and/or a Q-Tip. If you are unable to get these supplies, students are fine to use their fingers to blend.) WHAT THE TEACHER WILL BE USING (OPTIONAL): -Drawing paper OR Sketchbook (You can purchase a sketchbook for around $10 on Amazon.) -Wooden pencil -Pencil sharpener -Kneaded eraser (You can purchase a kneaded eraser for around $5 on Amazon.) -Regular everyday eraser -Drawing pencils (You can purchase drawing pencils for around $10 on Amazon.) -Blending stumps (You can purchase blending stumps for around $5 on Amazon.)
