Among Us the game of determining: Who is the impostor? Who looks sus to you? In this class, students will be invited to play the popular game Among Us with a safe group of Outschoolers. They will use critical thinking skills to find the imposter and make some new friends while socializing between rounds. Get $9 off my class "Among Us - Who Do You Think Is Sus? (Ongoing Gaming Club and Social Class)" with coupon code SNIDERWELCOME9 We will first meet in the Outschool classroom where I will help students to get onto our own private Among Us game. That means that you child will only play with other students on Outschool. I do not allow our game to be available to anyone that is not in our class. Students should have two devices so that we can continue to chat in the Zoom class while playing on another device. One of those device must already have the app "Among Us" downloaded to it. Options for devices to play on include: Nintendo Switch, Smartphone, computer, tablet. Please note that the game will determine who acts as the impostor. I am unable to control this aspect of the game. That means that I am unable to guarantee that each student will get a turn as the impostor. Additionally, I please be aware that during the game, there is a discussion time. At this time, students will share information that they have noticed during play that will help narrow down who did it. This class will be a great way for students to develop community with other students that enjoy playing Among Us. This game can be difficult for children that are not prepared to lose. Please have a conversation with your child before joining this class so that they are aware that they cannot be a sore loser or winner in this class.

Please have a device to play on while also continuing to converse in our Outschool Zoom classroom. Please be sure that your child has downloaded the app before class. I have listed 3 options to help you acquire the game, I will be using the app that I have downloaded from the itunes app store. If you choose to download if from STEAM, there is a charge. The other sites will allow you to download it for free, but with ads. You can pay a minimal to have an ad-free version.

Hi! My name is Lauren, but my students call me "Best Teach". I graduated from Westminster College in 2004 with a degree in Elementary Education. After graduating, I earned my Pennsylvania English as a Second Language Program Specialist K-12 certification. I moved to Shenandoah, Virginia to teach English as a Second Language in 2006. I taught over 40 students (K-12) at 4 different schools. In 2007, I moved to the traditional first grade classroom.
Since then, I have taught in many different capacities. I have taught baby sign language to parents, online for two years as an English as a Second Language teacher, and as a homeschool tutor. My most valuable teaching experience has come as a homeschool mom. I have been teaching my neurodivergent 15 year old son and neurotypical 12 year old daughter since the day they were born.
I bring a variety of classes to Outschool, because I like to pull from all of my interests and talents.
