This can be purchased or borrowed in two formats: bound together as "Molly's Story Collection" or independently as 6 separately bound books entitled: "Meet Molly," "Molly Learns a Lesson," "Molly's Surprise," "Happy Birthday, Molly," "Molly Saves the Day," and "Changes for Molly."

Molly's stories are set during World War II. Her father is away serving as a doctor in the Army. In the book, Happy Birthday, Molly, we meet a girl from England who talks about how her experiences living through the bombing of London. The war is mentioned in several books and they do briefly refer to the fact that people are hurting and being killed too. However, there aren't any graphic descriptions of the brutalities of war.
In the book Molly's Surprise, the author implies but never states that Santa is not real. She talks about how Christmas will be different and how "mom and dad" usually do things that they can't do this year.
