We will explore all this as well as the Amendments and the Amendment process in this 5 week class. In week 1, we will look at the Constitutional authority that gives America the chance to change the Constitution, discuss how hard it is to make an Amendment and the process for that and we will discuss Amendments 1-3. - Students will learn all 27 Amendments to the US Constitution as well as the history behind it. They will discover controversies that may still exist today and the government's handling of those controversies.
I am a high school social studies teacher. I teach American History and Civics. I also have a Master's degree in Political Science from West Virginia University as well as a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from the Univesity of Pittsburgh with a history minor. I have taken various course's from University of North Carolina's Carolina K12 which provides resources for culturally responsive teaching practices for K12 teachers/
