Students will engage in book group discussions each week. Through these discussions we will work on comprehension skills, analyzing the characters and their actions, making connections, discussing the author's purpose for including different events and characters in the book, and comparing and contrasting different characters and events.

I am a licensed school librarian with a love of dystopian young adult books! I have lead book groups and discussions with students across a wide variety of age groups.

Students are expected to have the reading completed before each class period. There will be about 90 pages for students to read before each class. 

Please have the first ten chapters read before the first class meeting. The chapters listed below should be read before the class.

Class 1: Chapters 1-10
Class 2: Chapters 11-18
Class 3: Chapters 19-24
Class 4: Chapters 25-33
Class 5: Chapters 34-44
Class 6: Chapters 45-Epilogue
