In this one-time class, students will learn where sugar gliders come from, what their natural habitat is like, and how to care for them as pets. We go into depth about the pros and cons of owning a sugar glider. Sugar gliders are adorable little critters, but they are definitely not suitable as pets for everyone. This class would be helpful in deciding if sugar gliders would be the right fit for your family. Information will be presented in a visually appealing and engaging manner. My sugar gliders, Sydney and Sasha, are very friendly and would love to make an appearance during class to meet everyone!

The teacher offers plenty of opportunities throughout the class for questions and comments. Each learner has many opportunities to interact with the teacher and their classmates. We will play a fun and interactive game of Kahoot at the end of class. Kahoot is a game-based learning platform that allows students to answer questions in a game-type format. Kids love using it! I recommend having a secondary device, such as a cell phone or tablet, for Kahoot. Students can also have both Zoom and Kahoot open on separate browser tabs while using a desktop or laptop computer, as long as they are able to easily go back and forth between the tabs. If your child is using a tablet, then a secondary device would be necessary for Kahoot.
