In this one-time class, students will learn the difference between falling and gliding and how this relates to airplanes.   We will learn about surface area and how the surface area helps things to glide.  We'll watch a couple short video clips of animals that glide through the air and also do a quick experiment, dropping two pieces of paper to the ground- one crumpled up and one not.
