This is the same class format as my 9 week class! Adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing fractions, simplifying, and word problem work. All are included in this math course. We will work on modeling of the different skills, strategies to work on word problems, and plenty of practice problems will be provided. Week 1Lesson 1Adding and Subtracting fractionsWe will work with fractions with unlike denominators and go through all of the steps to create equivalent fractions and solve (including word problems)Week 2Lesson 2Simplifying fractionsWe will continue work with adding and subtracting fractions, but will add in last step and show 2 ways of simplifying.Week 3Lesson 3Mixed numbersWe will work on how adding, subtracting, and simplifying mixed numbers can be different than regular fractions.Week 4Lesson 4Multiplying fractionsWe will multiply regular fractions, fraction x whole number, and mixed numbers! We will simply at the end.Week 5Lesson 5Dividing fractionsFinal class we will be dividing fractions and simplifying at the end. We will divide fraction by fraction, mixed numbers, and fraction by whole number!
