This class will discuss the domestic cat from historic, scientific, and cultural viewpoints. This is a great course for any student who has a cat as a pet, loves cats, or is interested in adopting a cat and wants to find out more. Students will enrich their knowledge of cats from a historical, scientific, and cultural perspective and gain a new appreciation for one of the world's favorite pets. Students who own cats or are interested in owning a cat will learn more about how to responsibly care for their companion.
I am a former public school teacher (at the high school and elementary levels), hold a teaching certification and am a lifelong cat enthusiast.
