In this class, students will work with expressions containing exponents, exponential expressions, grouping symbols, and real-life applications by making tables, and finding volume. The teacher will give definitions, key words, and problems for each type of expression and exponents. The teacher and students will then work together reading and writing exponential form, words, and meanings of powers. The teacher will present the exponential form to the students to write the word form and meaning independently. The interaction between teacher and student is constant during this class. This class is interactive, hands-on, auditory, and visual. Students are encouraged to participate in class and ask questions.

Hello! My name is Mrs. Carla, and I am always excited about teaching and cannot wait to teach your learner. My favorite subjects, personally and to teach, are math, reading, writing, and science.
I have taught students through Outschool for the past two and a half years. For over 15 plus years I have been employed in diverse roles within the education sector. I have been a teacher, substitute teacher, instructional support, lead teacher in a childcare facility, volunteer, and tutor. I have my Associates of Science in Office Information Systems, Bachelors of Science in Psychology, and Master of Education Degree (PK-8), and I have also been fortunate to work with students who were high schoolers, special needs, and homebound.
In my class, your student will use their prior knowledge, share ideas, participate through discussion to help develop their academic and social skills. I look forward to getting to know your student and learn how they learn to better support them in their success in school.
