Students will become proficient with math skills at the 8th/9th grade level - Algebra 1.

I am a New York state licensed classroom teacher in secondary math and special education. I taught math at a high school in NYC DOE for 5 years before deciding teach on Outschool. Patience and compassion are my strong suits.  I will help you if you ask!  Having a child "get" a concept gives me joy.  My wife and I homeschool our three daughters.

Optional homework assignments will be posted in the Outschool Classroom once a week. I will post the assignments and the answers keys so you can check your work when you are done with the assignments. Although homework will not be sent in to me for marking, please feel free to message me on Outschool Messages at any time with questions about the optional homework or any topics we cover in class so that you don’t fall behind. The optional homework will be in the form of a PDF. You will need to print it, do the work, and check your answers with the provided answer keys.

We will be using Classkick.com website for class. I will also post the optional homework assignments and answer keys to homework and answers to the class work we do in class at the end of the week. All assignments and materials will be posted as a PDF. It will be posted via a link to a shared Google drive folder. Since this is an ongoing class Google Drive links will be different each week. 

Sometimes, we will use Kahoot or Blooket to play games on the topic we are doing in class (if time permits).
