아프리카계 미국인 역사 | Tuskegee Airmen - 흑인 역사

In this class, students will learn about the heroic Tuskegee Airmen. They played a significant role in World War II, which contributed to the victory of the United States. They were the first group of African American aviators in the armed forces. African Americans for a long time history, were not allowed to be pilots in the military but the airmen proved that black people can be extraordinary fighter pilots too. Students will understand how the Tuskegee Airmen are largely responsible for the desegregation of the U.S. military by breaking the color barrier.  They went on to become some of the most decorated airmen in U.S. history.  By the end of class, students will have a better understanding of the Tuskegee Airmen, and how they changed America for the better. 


We will discuss:
The history of segregation in the U.S.A and how it affected people of color.
The history of racial discrimination in the U.S Military 
The Formation of the Tuskegee Airmen
Their role and accomplishments in World War II
The impact the Tuskegee Airmen had on the Civil Rights movement for African Americans?



This class will be very informative and it also connects to my other African American classes. This lesson will be interactive, and each student will have an opportunity to share their thoughts and opinions. If you have any questions about the class or suggestions please send a message.
