  • Students will build their knowledge on suffixes and Latin roots.
I have previously taught Middle School Language Arts and now teach ELL (English Language Learners), both at a brick and mortar school. I have a degree in Elementary Education with endorsements in Reading, Language Arts, Social Studies, and ESL. In addition to a teaching degree, I also have a degree in Sociology with a minor in Psychology and Human Relations.

Homework
Frequency: 1-2 per week
Feedback: as needed
Details: Students will complete work around the suffixes or roots for the unit. You can expect around two hours of week each unit.
Assessment
Frequency: 3-6 throughout the class
Details: After two units, an assessment in the form of a Google Form is provided for students. This assessment will automatically provide feedback as soon as it is submitted. These assessments allow for students to check their understanding of the material.
Letter Grade
Frequency: included
Details: If you would like a grade for this course, please message the teacher before the start of the course. If you message the teacher after the first week of the course has been completed, there will be no grade given to the student. -L.4.4, L.5.4, L.6.4, L.7.4, L.8.4 - Greek and Latin Affixes and Roots
All materials will be provided in the Outschool classroom. Some lessons have a recording sheet which will need to be printed off to use during the video lessons. Some optional practice activities will have material that will need to be printed.
