By the end of this course, students will have deepened their understanding of kindergarten/1st grade essential foundational skills needed to aim with perfection and hit the bullseye target of academic success.  The essential skills include the following:  alphabet knowledge, phonics, phonological awareness, cvc words, word families, diagraphs, vowel teams, sight words, sentence structure, reading, spelling, grammar, math skills (skip counting, adding/subtraction, graphing, positions, 2d/3d shapes, etc.), writing/drawing (fine motor skill strengthening) and a plethora of more.
