수업 소개
For dancers who have a year or two of ballet under their belt, Advanced Beginner Ballet is the perfect class for them to keep up on their evolving ballet skills. Each class will begin with a traditional ballet warm using a ballet barre or chair for support and then move onto center work. Each class will feature fundamental steps of ballet in order to exercise a robust and age appropriate ballet vocabulary and understanding. This class is perfect for an online platform and is designed to not need an exorbitant amount of space without sacrificing quality of the learning experience. Week to week dancers can expect a ballet class that is designed for advanced beginners to drop in and join in as it fits with their schedule, and each class will be tailored to meet the needs of the students present.

The safety of your dancer is my highest priority and they will always be supervised and participating in age appropriate exercises that cater to their developing motor skills. However, it should be noted that this is a physical fitness class and a certain amount of risk comes with any dance art. This class in particular is designed so that dancers will be sitting, standing, and moving in place for much of the time but it is advised that dancers have a clear area around themselves to avoid any accidental collision with furniture while kicking or moving their arms and legs. It is always a good idea for dancers to have a water bottle handy to stay hydrated. For this class, dancers are welcome to wear ballet shoes, but also may be bare foot. I request that dancers do not wear socks as they can cause slipping.

Dancers should be dressed in comfortable clothes that they can move in. If dancers would like to wear ballet shoes they are very welcome to, but bare feet are perfectly fine as well. No socks please as they can cause slipping. It also never hurts to have a water bottle handy. If dancer's have a ballet barre they may use it for the opening warm up exercises but a chair works just as well.

I have been dancing since I was three years old and have performed across the US and Canada in 5 national tours and at 2 theme parks. Most recently, I passed my Royal Academy of Dance Advanced Foundation exam in 2019. I have been teaching dance since 2012 and have taught students of all ages and abilities. Today I am an an ABT® Certified Teacher, who has successfully completed the ABT® Teacher Training Intensive in Pre-Primary through Level 3 of the ABT® National Training Curriculum. 리뷰
