수업 소개
In this one-time introduction to acting class, we will awaken your teens desire to act, while they learn the fundamentals of acting technique. We start the class off with an energetic vocal and movement warm-up. Then, through a series of fun exercises and various popular drama games, we will focus on speech, diction and role-playing. Halfway through the class each teen will be assigned a short monologue or scene that they will work on. Towards the end of class our learners will have he chance to perform for each other.

***PLEASE NOTE: The Acting for Teens Class is a one-time class and its curriculum is not designed for learners to repeat more than once.
***A medium to large open space is required. Comfortable clothing such as, athletic or dance attire works perfectly well. As for shoes, if your child is participating on a hard surface floor such as hardwood or tile, a pair of running shoes are recommended for proper support. Should your child be in carpeted room, non stick socks work. Cordless ear buds required or simply using the microphone form your child's computer work well. No prior stretching or warming up is required and water bottles are a must!

The Acting for Teens Class will be instructed by Mr. Howard Kane.
Mr. Kane has been teaching the craft of Acting and Musical Theatre to children for thirty-three years. Prior to founding The Children's Theatre Project in 2000, Mr. Kane headed up the drama departments at Toronto Montessori Schools and the North York Montessori Learning Centre. Prior to teaching, Mr. Kane was a performer in New York City where he studied and performed on Broadway and Off-Broadway. His highly energetic and positive teaching methods have been recognized in 2012, when his school was nominated for The Richmond Hill Chamber of Commerce for an Excellence in Business Achievement Award. Mr. Kane currently has many of his former students working in the performing arts industry as well as currently studying in highly recognized arts programs at the secondary and University level. 리뷰
