미국 10학년 - 12학년 학년
In this 4 week course, students will review material in order to prepare for the ACT. We will cover the basics of the test, fundamentals, algebra, geometry, word problems, and trigonometry. We will also cover techniques for solving these questions. I taught test prep for several years, and I can help the students gain confidence that will enable them to do well on the ACT. The ACT is a standardized test, and because of this, we can apply techniques to the problems so we can use our time efficiently and conserve our energy. This course is for students who maybe don't have time for a longer course or don't need a longer course. In each class, we will focus on a different subject and practice-related problems. Here is a breakdown for each week: Week 1: Algebra & plane geometry Week 2: word problems & trigonometry Week 3: Graphing & Coordinate Geometry Week 4: Advanced Math & Review Students will be expected to come to class prepared. They will need scratch paper and a calculator. I do expect students to interact and participate. I will call on students to share answers or explain how they solved a problem. I understand not all students enjoy speaking in front of a group. They are welcome to share answers and explanations in the chat if they prefer. Please just let me know if your student doesn't want to be called on and will just be listening to the material. **Please let me know if the current course doesn't fit your schedule, and let me know what days and times work best for you.
