Hello, I’m Mr. John! I will help your learner by facilitating Mathematics lessons on Khan Academy, which are available for them to keep practicing on their own at home for free between sessions, too! We will cover any areas that your learner needs to help fill any gaps in their learning. Just let me know what areas they need more support in and I will customize the program to their needs. I will teach by going through the lessons with them and providing a gradual release of responsibility with new skills that they are learning. I'll also use many of the awesome features available in Zoom to keep the lessons engaging and fun. Topics covered include: number sense and numeration algebra measurement geometry data management probability money time and more! I'm using Zearn (www.zearn.com) to give students additional practice and another way to explore their learning! With parental permission, I'll create a Zearn account for your learner that I can assign to the best level for them. Parents can sign up their learners for a Khan Academy Account for free with my help! I also love teaching Mathematics using Minecraft Education and you can sign up for one of my 1-1 Minecraft classes if you want to check it out!

I’m Mr. John.
I am a teacher who has worked professionally for 10+ years. With experience from Kindergarten up to 12 in the classroom and online, I am also a Kindergarten Specialist with additional qualifications in Special Education, Music, and Mathematics who works with children of all ages including those with diverse learning needs!
I teach a Minecraft Coding & Creative Class for groups. I also tutor Accelerated English Programs for Early Literacy, Accelerated Mathematics Programs for Elementary and Secondary School Learners, Coding, Minecraft Education, GarageBand and more for 1-1 meetings.
My love of learning in my own life drives my passion for teaching. All learners are welcome! I encourage ESL, neurodiverse, and any other learners who think they may benefit from my programs to try them out!
With a room full of instruments, you’ll likely experience fun performances throughout our classes that can help keep things exciting and unique. I usually spend time in nature and with my family when I’m not teaching or jamming! Let’s learn together on Outschool!
