Abstract art gives learners an opportunity to create for the sake of creating. It’s a wonderful skill for expressing one’s self, and developing as a creative. Learners to take this class will learn how to use different mediums, explore different art techniques, and lean into a more abstract approach to art. They will also learn important, art fundamentals, like composition, colour use, contrast and form.

I encourage learners to have a wide variety of materials for this class. They are very welcome to use materials that are not on this list. Every week we using different mediums, so please check the classroom before class starts to see what we need for that particular week. This is a list of supplies I will be using throughout the different classes. Pencils Eraser Paper Smooth Cardboard Canvases Coloured pencils Markers Acrylic paint Watercolour paint Blow dryer Paper towels Painters tape
On occasion, learners may choose to use scissors. I recommend having a guardian around for this if the learners are uncomfortable with scissors. On occasion, we will also use a blow dryer. If this is something, the learner is uncomfortable with, parental guidance may be required.
