This interactive class is filled with learning & fun! Come soar through the alphabet, meeting a new animal friend along the way. Let's learn our ABC's and their sounds, plus: songs, worksheets, coloring, & show-and-tell for each letter! ⭐️ Feel free to join in at anytime! Classes do not build off of one another😃 - - Class Outline - - 👋🏼 Hello & Question of the Day (pertaining to our new letter of the week) 🔠 Introduction to our Letter of the Week 📖 Read our AlphaTales story that goes along with our letter 🔍 Play an "I Spy" game to locate items that start with our letter 📣 Recite a poem (or song) that goes along with our letter 🧸 Show & tell item that goes along with our letter 📝 Weekly worksheets will be provided to practice upper & lowercase letters 🎨 Coloring pages will be provided as well to go along with our letter & story Through this class, learners will be exposed to the 26 letters of the alphabet and their sounds, through a fun Animal Adventure with help from the AlphaTales friends! This is a fun and interactive way to work through the alphabet and practice phonics skills. Fine motor skills will be put to use as well with a fun coloring page each week, along with worksheets to practice our letter of the week. Learners will also practice communication (and listening) skills as we discuss the story together, answer questions, and share with one another. - - Weekly Schedule - - • Week of 4/1 Letter A: The Adventures of Abby Alligator • Week of 4/8 Letter B: Bubble Bear • Week of 4/15 Letter C: Copycats • Week of 4/22 Letter D: Detective Dog and the Disappearing Doughnuts ^ More stories will be added as we get closer. Once we make it through the entire alphabet, the class will start over again back at Letter A! ⭐️ As mentioned above, weekly worksheets will be provided in the Classroom page on Sundays. These worksheets will help learners to identify and write our upper and lowercase letters of the week. Additionally, a fun coloring page to go along with our letter and story will also be provided.

Hello everyone, my name is Miss Alyssa. Welcome to my classroom!
I am a positive and enthusiastic teacher who loves to integrate fun into my classroom. I have my Bachelor's degree in Education. I have been teaching for 5 years. I have taught Preschool and Pre-K. Currently, I teach 5th grade.
I truly believe that children learn best not only when they're engaged, but also when they're having fun! That’s why I strive to make learning fun for all children.
What does my classroom look like? My classes will offer slideshow presentations, movement/brain breaks, music and stories, arts and crafts, experiments, and open discussions. Each class will be engaging, interactive, and student-centered. I offer the 3-step approach to learning: I do, we do, you do. With this approach, I first model the lesson and show the expectations. Then, we try it out together as a group. Lastly, students are encouraged to try on their own. I will support students in whichever way they need that fits their individual learning style.
I love to take the interests of my students and integrate them into my lessons. I believe that children are more eager to participate when they are truly enjoying the lesson!
I am so excited to meet your learners in class & I hope to spark their love for learning the same way that my teachers did when I was young!❤️
