¿Para quién es esta clase?
- Estudiantes a quienes les guste crear arte y deseen tener una sólida base artística. Esta clase no es para aquellos que buscan hacer manualidades.
- Estudiantes que hablan español, pero desean comenzar a aprender inglés.
- Estudiantes que desean practicar inglés en un ambiente tranquilo y creativo.
- Padres y tutores que deseen personalizar las clases de arte e idiomas para sus estudiantes. Esta clase se basará principalmente en los objetivos y necesidades que tengan los estudiantes.

¿Se requiere alguna experiencia o conocimiento previo por parte de los estudiantes?
Los estudiantes no necesitan tener experiencia previa en arte para esta clase. Si no tienen experiencia en arte, el único requisito es que tengan interés en aprender sobre técnicas y medios artísticos, no solo de manera lúdica, sino también educativa. En la primera clase, discutiremos los temas que los estudiantes desean aprender para desarrollar su vocabulario en inglés. Es importante que sean co-creadores de sus clases para que se despierte su interés y aprendizaje.

Mi experiencia: Soy fluida en español e inglés. ¡Me encanta crear y enseñar clases de arte a estudiantes de todas las edades! Hablo español de México y hablo inglés de los Estados Unidos.

¿Cómo está estructurada tu clase?
Amo todo lo creativo y tengo experiencia trabajando con acuarela, acrílico, gouache y técnicas mixtas. Dado que tengo pasión por lo creativo, los estudiantes podrán solicitar clases sobre diferentes temas. Quiero que sus estudiantes entiendan técnicas específicas, por lo que parte del tiempo de clase se dedicará a aprenderlas. Por ejemplo, si desean practicar acuarela, les enseñaré varias técnicas de acuarela que pueden usar para pintar, y luego realizaremos un proyecto o proyectos basados en ellas.

En nuestra primera reunión, evaluaremos el nivel de inglés de los estudiantes y cuáles son sus objetivos. También analizaremos los medios artísticos que desean utilizar. Si los estudiantes desean un número determinado de clases enfocadas únicamente en un medio artístico, esa será la estructura de la clase. Si no tienen preferencia, elegiré los temas a cubrir.

Los temas que se cubrirán estarán basados en los materiales que tengan los estudiantes, sus intereses personales y su nivel artístico. La instrucción se realizará en español, y el inglés se utilizará en ciertos momentos para proporcionar explicaciones o contexto.

Ejemplos de temas de arte para estudiantes de 8 a 10 años:
- Aprender colores, formas, el abecedario usando acuarela.
- Comprender el color y la mezcla de colores usando pintura acrílica.
- Aprender números, días, clima, etc.
- Pintar animales en el zoológico.
- Pintar objetos del desierto.

Ejemplos de temas de arte para estudiantes de 11 años en adelante:
- Explorar el estilo artístico.
- Pintar objetos de naturaleza muerta.
- Construcción de portafolios.

Todas las clases se llevarán a cabo en español e inglés (en ocasiones hablaré en español para asegurarme de que el estudiante comprenda lo que dije, o viceversa). Habrá momentos en los que nos centraremos más en el inglés que en el arte, y otros en los que crearemos más arte y nos enfocaremos menos en hablar inglés.

¿Cómo enseñarás?
En cada clase, enseñaré algunas técnicas de arte si es necesario, y luego realizaremos un proyecto. Si el estudiante no necesita aprender las técnicas de arte, nos enfocaremos únicamente en el proyecto artístico.

Realizaré demostraciones de arte que los estudiantes podrán seguir. Podrán verlo a través de mi cámara. Nunca quiero que los estudiantes me copien directamente, por lo que siempre se les dará la bienvenida a que expresen su propio estilo. Sin embargo, en algunos temas, como aprender sobre la mezcla de colores, es necesario copiar exactamente lo que estoy haciendo.

Creo que los estudiantes deben ser participantes activos en su aprendizaje. Esa es la razón por la que nuestra primera clase tomará en consideración sus intereses, los medios artísticos y su nivel de idioma. Además, esta es una clase uno a uno, lo que significa que puedo brindar una atención más personalizada al estudiante y ellos pueden personalizar la clase según sus necesidades.

Who is this class for? 
- Learners who enjoy creating art and want to have a solid art foundation. This is not for the learners that want to create crafts.
- Learners that speak Spanish, but want to start learning English 
- Learners wanting to practice English in a calm and creative environment
- Parents and guardians that want to customize their learners arts and language class. This class will be based largely on the goals and needs that learners have. 

Any required experience or knowledge learners need?
Learners don't need to have any art background for this class, if they have zero art background the only requirement is that they have an interest in learning about art techniques and mediums, not only in a playful manner but in an educational way as well. 
In the first class we will go over what topics learners want to learn about to build vocabulary in English. It's important that they are cocreators of their classes so it sparks their learning and interest. 

My background: I'm fluent in Spanish and English. I love creating and teaching art classes to learners of all ages! 
I speak Spanish from Mexico. I speak English from USA.

How is your class structured?
I love all things creative and so I have experience working with watercolor, acrylic, gouache, and mixed media! Since I have a passion for all things creative learners will have the ability to request classes based on different topics. I do want your learner to have an understand of specific techniques so some class time will be dedicated to learning these. For example if they want to practice watercolor I will teach them various watercolor techniques that they can use to paint and then we will do a project or projects based on these. 

The first meeting we have we will go over learners English level and what their goals are. We will also look what art mediums they want to use. If learners want a certain number of classes only focused on one medium then that will start the structure of class, if they don't have a preference then I will choose what topics to cover. 

Topics to cover will be based on what supplies learners have, their own interests, and artistic level.  Instruction will be done in Spanish and English will be used to at times to provide explanation or context. 


Example art topics for learners ages 8-10:
-Learning colors, shapes, ABC's using watercolor 
-Understanding color and color mixing using acrylic paint
-Learning numbers, days, weather, etc...
-painting animals at the zoo 
-Painting desert items

Example art topics for learners ages 11+
- Exploring artistic style 
- Painting still life objects 
- Portfolio building

All classes will be conducted in in both Spanish and English (at times I may speak in Spanish to make sure the learner understands what I said or vice versa) . There will be times where we will focus more on English rather than the art and others where we make more art rather than focusing on speaking English.

How will you teach?
Each class I will teach some art techniques if needed and then we will do a project. If the learner doesn't need the art techniques then will focus on the art project only. 

I will do  art demonstrations that learners can follow. They will be able to see through my overhead camera. I never want students to copy me directly so their own style will always be welcomed. There maybe a few topics such as learning about color mixing where copying exactly what I am doing is necessary however. 

I believe that students should be active participants in their learning, that's the reason our first class will take into consideration their topics of interest, art mediums, and level of language. This is also a 1:1 class, which means I am able to provide a deeper level of attention to the learner and they can help personalize the class to their needs! 

The main goal for this class is language learning! The addition of art is to help learners learn a new language in a fun way. However, learners shouldn't get too caught up in painting perfectly!

I will be speaking in English and translating into Spanish this way learners are exposed to English as we create.
