Diamond stingrays, emerald tree boas, golden lion tamarins, ruby serpent starfish, and pearl oysters!  In this class we will explore the biology of our treasure trove-themed animals through an interactive and fun experience.  Our pirate has lost his treasure as his chest is completely empty!  Learners will help me and the pirate fill his treasure chest again by visiting his "jeweled" friends and asking for help.  As we visit all of our animal friends and collect diamonds, emeralds, gold, rubies, and pearls we will learn about each of the animals' biology.  Class will be interactive with plenty of opportunities for learners to provide input and ask questions.  Learners will end class with a better understanding of the biology of a variety of animals, expanded scientific vocabulary, and fun facts to share.  Pirate hats and costumes optional, but encouraged!
