Students will compare and contrast characters and events in the story. Students will summarize the chapters and the story. Students will look for descriptive details in the story to form pictures in their mind. Students will learn the important things in life and not to take them for granted through the characters in the story. Students will learn about penguins.
I have been an elementary classroom teacher for 18 years. I have taught this novel study many times to my 3rd graders in Reading.
