Assessment will be done informally. The Google Forms assignment's primary purpose is to let me know if the students are doing and understanding the reading and if they have understood what we learned in class. I will provide each student with feedback on every assignment. A formal grade can be provided upon request. Requests for formal grades must be made at the beginning of the semester.제공되는 성적

We will be using Google Forms for homework. Students do not need a Google account to fill out the form. If this is a problem, please let me know and I will provide an alternate assignment. We will use Kahoot for review games at the end of each section. Bud, Not Buddy is about a young, orphaned black boy during the Great Depression. It does tell of trials and struggles that may be upsetting for some readers to learn about.
We will use The Wonderful Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum and Bud, Not Buddy by Christopher Paul Curtis. We will also reference the book Out of the Dust by Karen Hesse, Ruby Bridges’ Brave Step by Latorial Faison, poetry by Shel Silverstein, Robert Frost and Langston Hughes. Other poetry will be added based on the interests of the students and will always be kept age appropriate. Informational texts will come primarily from the following websites: https://teacher.depaul.edu/Reading_NONFICTION_Grade4.html https://teacher.depaul.edu/Reading_NONFICTION_Grade5.html https://teacher.depaul.edu/Reading_NONFICTION_Grade6.html
